If you suffer from any mental illness or have a friend or relative who does, after just a few pages of this book you will quickly realize that you are not alone. This book is full of both helpful information and heart-tugging stories that will open your eyes to the stigma that surrounds mental illness. Lindsay is a survivor. She has survived a lifetime of bipolar II disorder, bulimia, anxiety, addiction, and multiple suicide attempts; she experienced most of this in silence. After having spent over 150 days in both in-patient and residential treatment facilities, she decided to share her story in hopes of reducing the stigmas against mental illness. Her life experiences, coupled with her education in psychology and counseling, have given Lindsay the knowledge, desire, and passion to advocate for mental health awareness. It is her desire to help people better understand mental illnesses and lead them to healing so that they, too, can be survivors.

This book is a small journey back to the time when it all began for me, as a transgender female M2F coming out for the first time. In this book, I try to cover areas I feel are of benefit for anyone in this journey. I tried to include tips and tricks you can use to help you get by as you transition and to prepare you for the day you decide to share who you really are with the world around you. This book is short but sweet. I tend to not want to bore anyone with countless words and just get down to the business at hand, and that is in helping you, whether M2F or F2M, in reaching your goals, gaining confidence whether to transition totally as I have decided to do, or just to feel good in your own skin. Most of the subject matter here is a reflection from my own perspective and experiences I feel was worth sharing, as these topics helped me along my journey. At the end of this book, Ive included some helpful computer links, which should also be of some help if youre a parent with a child in transition. This book will enlighten and inspire you to be true to yourself and let no one hold you back.

Once there was a girl who lived in a castle. The castle was inside a museum. When children visited, they’d press against the glass globe in which the castle sat, to glimpse the tiny girl. Then you’d able to keep the girl company. Reminiscent of “The Lady of Shalot,” here is an original fairy tale that feels like a dream—haunting, beautiful, and completely unforgettable.

In the early 1960's the Military knew they needed to develop a new method of intelligence gathering in locating the enemy in the jungles of Vietnam. Early attempts at developing a mobile method of interception and location of radio transmissions failed. Some successes occurred prior to the mid-1960's, but there was no large scale plan on how to develop this into a major project to help win the war in Vietnam. Approval comes in 1966 and the project is named Phyllis Ann. The author becomes a part of this project as a mission leader in the winter of 1968. This novel is based on his experiences both in Pleiku Vietnam and Misawa Japan during some of the most turbulent times in our history. The taking of the Pueblo, Russian bombers testing our defenses, and the secret war in Laos were all historical events this young airman was involved in.
